Luss, Loch Lomond
Luss, a very pretty village situated on the western shore of Loch Lomond. It is one of Scotland's most popular villages to visit. Walk past the sandstone and slate cottages to the pier with it's wonderful views up and down Loch Lomond and across the loch to the mountains. From the pier a short walk to the atmospheric church graveyard which has graves dating back to 600AD / 700AD. There is also a 1000 year old Viking grave to amaze you.
The Rest and be Thankful.
The famous pass called The Rest and Be Thankful divides Glen Kinglas from Glen Croe. On top is a viewpoint with beautiful views in Glen Croe where you can clearly see the old valley road which was engineered by General Wade during the subjection of Scotland following the Jacobite rebellion.
Kilchurn Castle. Additional Stop
Built around 1450, this long abandoned castle is still very impressive, sitting at the top of Loch Awe ringed by mountains both close by and distant makes for a very memorable visit.
St Conan's Kirk. Additional Stop
Just 5 minutes from Kilchurn Castle is this very unique and beautiful church perched on the edge of Loch Awe. Described as enchanting, magical and fascinating, a wonderful stop.
Inverary.
Inverary, on Loch Fyne is a lovely village in a grand scenic setting on the western shore of Loch Fyne, as well as strolling in the village, a walk to the picture perfect Inverary Castle is very popular for visitors. There are shops worth browsing for souvenirs, an excellent whisky shop which will let you sample some quality Scotch.
LeaveGlasgow, head west along the south bank of the River Clyde and to the Firth of Clyde
Tower Hill, above Gourock.
A magnificent panorama that takes in the upper Firth of Clyde and the surrounding mountain landscapes with their deep sea lochs. A great place to see whereabouts we are on the map and the route we are taking.
Ferry Boat crossing.
Cross the upper Firth of Clyde into the Highlands and the county of Argyll, the 20 minute crossing on the small open deck ferry provides more wonderful views including the Isle of Arran.
Benmore Botanic Garden.
You have the option to stop here for 60 minutes, this trip can be adjusted by as much as you want.
Benmore is a magnificent 120 acre mountainside garden, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The entrance to the garden is through an avenue of 150 year old giant redwoods. Climb through exotic plantings to a lofty viewpoint at 450 feet. There is a cafe and toilets in thr visitor centre.
Inverary.
Inverary, on Loch Fyne is a very picturesque village on the western shore of Loch Fyne, as well as strolling in the village, a visit to Inverary Castle and grounds is a must for visitors to this area of the Highlands. Depending on how much time you want to spend in Inverary and how energetic you are feeling, you can take an invigorating walk up to Inverary Castle Watch Tower and savour the panorama.

Luss
The pretty conversation village of Luss is situated on the western shore of Loch Lomond. A settlement has stood on this site since medieval times although much of the current village dates from the 18th and 19th centuries, having been developed to house workers from nearby slate enquiries. with it's prim, identical sandstone and slate cottages garlanded in rambling roses. This is one of Scotland's most popular places to visit.
